Meet Mr. Tate


Allen obtained his Master of Science in Medicine degree with Trevecca Nazarene University’s Physician Assistant program in 2003.

 

He has enjoyed experience as a general medical practitioner in family practice, pulmonology, internal medicine, anesthesiology, sleep medicine, pain management, and addictionology.

 

Allen, a former Marine infantryman, currently serves as an Army Physician Assistant in the Medical Detachment of the Tennessee Army National Guard.  Major Tate has been deployed multiple times with Tennessee’s COVID task force, disaster response teams, overseas in support of Desert Storm/Shield as well as in support of the Global War on Terrorism in many countries across the Middle East.  He is proficient in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCMC).

 

Mr. Tate, a former teacher, puts priority on educating his patients on the primary source(s) of their pain and seeks to treat interventionally whenever possible.  He strongly supports patients who are proactive in their own care and motivated to become healthier. 

 

Allen is a board certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), a current member of the American Association of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA).
